Human Comfortability: Integrating Ergonomics and Muscular-Informed Metrics for Manipulability Analysis During Human-Robot Collaboration

چکیده
The ability to compute a quality index for manipulation tasks, in different configurations, has been widely used robotics. However, it is poorly explored human and physical human-robot collaboration (pHRC). Existing works that evaluate efficiency of often focus only on heurisitic-based, biomechanics or ergonomics methods/tasks. Complementarity between these performance features allows better evaluation more general criteria, applicable across tasks. This letter addressess this gap by generating new metric combines offline pre-computation biomechanics, ergonomics, muscle assessment joint constraints, reducing the online time complexity, enhancing response query time. proposed solution allow us build distribution human's workspace which can be quickly tailored specific tasks filtered design purposes. method simplifies manipulability both task-specific applications and, contrast existing works, suitable real-time and/or resource-limited applications. Numerical evidence shows analysis greatly outperforms previous results terms computing without compromising performance.

system, such as a service robot, requires identifying and fulfilling many interdependent requirements. As the leader of an interdisciplinary team that designed and implemented a social robot and its service, I used human-centered and service design approaches to address this challenge. This is one of the first such design cases for a social robot service [1]. Two products of this study, a servi...
متن کاملMetrics for Evaluating Human-Robot Interactions
Metrics for evaluating the quality of a human-robot interface are introduced. The autonomy of a robot is measured by its neglect time. The robot attention demand metric measures how much of the user’s attention is involved with instructing a robot. The free-time and fan-out metrics are two ways to measure this demand. Each of them leads to estimates of the interaction effort. Reducing interacti...
متن کاملAugmented Reality for Human-Robot Collaboration
Although robotics is well established as a research field, there has been relatively little work on human-robot collaboration. This type of collaboration is going to become an increasingly important issue as robots work ever more closely with humans. For example, in space exploration, recent research has pointed out that to reduce human workload, costs, fatigue driven error and risk, intelligen...

متن کاملExpectedness in Human-Robot Collaboration
We have investigated the mutual influences of affective and collaborative processes in a cognitive theory to support interaction between humans and robots or virtual agents. We build primarily on the cognitive appraisal theory of emotions and the SharedPlans theory of collaboration to investigate the structure, fundamental processes and functions of emotions in a collaboration. We have develope...
